Rhee In-jong, Samsung Executive Vice President, said about Galaxy S8’s AI assistant, that it will be significantly differentiated from the current services we see in the market now. So, we can expect to see something different than Apple’s Siri or the Google Assistant.
No further detail provided by Samsung regarding the new AI assistant on the Galaxy 8 but we can expect to see the AI to work with third-party services. Rhee Injong said that developers can attach and upload services to their agent. He also said “Even if Samsung doesn’t do anything on its own, the more services that get attached the smarter this agent will get, learn more new services and provide them to end-users with ease.”
Samsung’s vice president for mobile communications, Lee Kyeong-tae, said that Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature a slick design and an improved camera. The AI assistant on the Galaxy S8 as well as bendable design will surely be new great features that will help Samsung to win back its customers trust after the Galaxy Note 7 accidents.
